J. Anton Thompson

J. Anton Thompson, former Finance Manager for the Education Transformation Team in the Ministry of Education is a Director of the Capital & Credit Fund Managers Limited. Mr. Thompson has in excess of 30 years experience in investments and commodity trading which includes his role as Managing Director of Jamaica Unit Trust Services Limited during 2002 to 2005.

Mr. Thompson holds a Bachelor of Science Degree (Hons.) in Accounting from the University of the West Indies (UWI) and a Diploma in International Relations (Hons.) from the UWI, St. Augustine.

He is a Director of the Citizens Action for Free & Fair Elections (CAFFE), a Director of the Foundation for International Self-Help (FISH) Clinic and a member of the Justice & Peace Commission, Archdiocese of Kingston

He serves on several school boards including the Holy Trinity High School Board where he is Chairman, the Campion College School Board and the Alpha Boys School Board.

A sports enthusiast, Mr. Thompson is a former Pan American Certified Badminton Umpire and a past President of the Caribbean Regional Badminton Confederation.

He has been serving the Jamaica Badminton Association since 1984 in various capacities including being a First Vice President in 1984. In 1993 he served as President of the Liguanea United Sports Club. He was also the Football Team Manager for the Syd Bartlett League Champions in 1993.
